About Me

The first and most important thing about me is that I’m a Mama to 2 very energetic amazing boys Ozelotlzin and Ehxea.

We live in my home town of Liidlii Kue Denendeh. (Fort. Simpson NT, Canada) Close to the land and all it provides and my awesome family.

I’m a visual artist. I was taught at a young age to sew and bead by my Granny.

I attended the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe NM.

I have been creating designs using traditional Dene materials and methods to make unique contemporary pieces. In continuing with this concept I realized I needed to provide myself with my own smoked hide.

With the help of the Canada Council for the Arts Aboriginal Arts Office I will be working, traveling and documenting this journey and in the end I will be a skilled Moose Hide Tanner.
